About Us

CFCS offers a number of different State and Federally funded programs that help families pay for child care. Child development services for children from birth through 12 years of age, and older children with exceptional needs, are available.

The programs of CFCS currently serves almost 3,500 families each year throughout the south county areas. CFCS also funds a Head Start/Early Head Start Delegate, Community Association for Preschool Education, Inc. (CAPE) that serves 163 Head Start and 50 Early Head Start children throughout the Tri-Valley area of Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin.

The Board of Directors of CFCS has maintained the original agency mission while continuing to add funding and programs to expand services for children, families and communities.

Our Mission

Child, Family and Community Services, Inc. (CFCS) is a comprehensive child development agency that enhances self-sufficiency of families and provides children a foundation to be successful. We believe the families we serve need not only the programs that we offer, but the support to develop the tools to become self-sufficient when they are no longer enrolled in our programs. We are dedicated to enhancing families’ self-sufficiency and providing children with a foundation to be successful.
